Everything you need before your visit — forms, insurance, payment options, and a walk-through of what a first appointment actually looks like.

First visit

What to expect at your first appointment

Plan on about an hour. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM · Saturday & Sunday closed.

  1. 1

    Before you arrive

Complete your patient forms at home, gather your vision and medical insurance cards, and note the medications you take. Bring your current glasses and the boxes for your contact lenses.

  2. 2

    Checking in

Plan on arriving about ten minutes early. Our staff verifies your insurance and explains which plan is being billed — vision plans cover routine exams, while medical insurance covers visits for a condition such as dry eye or diabetes.

  3. 3

    The exam

A technician takes measurements and images, then your doctor performs the full exam. Expect about an hour, a little longer for contact lens evaluations or if your eyes are dilated.

  4. 4

    Afterward

You will leave knowing what we found and what happens next. If you need glasses or contacts, an optician helps you choose and fit them — and Sunbit monthly payments are available at checkout.

What to bring

  • Photo ID and your insurance cards (vision and medical)
  • Your current glasses and any contact lens boxes
  • A list of medications and supplements
  • Completed patient forms, and sunglasses if you may be dilated
