Specialty
Low Vision
Low vision is reduced sight that glasses, contacts, or surgery cannot fully correct. Care focuses on maximizing the vision you have with magnification, lighting, contrast, and technology.
Who it's for
Patients with macular degeneration, advanced glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, or other permanent vision loss.
What to expect
- Assessment of functional vision — reading, faces, mobility, daily tasks.
- Trials of magnifiers, telescopic and electronic aids, and lighting changes.
- Referral to local rehabilitation and support resources.
When to book
- Reading is difficult even with an up-to-date prescription.
- You've stopped an activity you love because of your vision.
