Vision-Related Learning Problems in Children
A child can have 20/20 eyesight and still have a vision problem. Focusing and eye-teaming difficulties make sustained reading exhausting — and are often mistaken for inattention.
Who it's for
School-age children who avoid reading, lose their place, or fatigue quickly with near work.
What to expect
- Testing of focusing, convergence, tracking, and binocular coordination.
- A written summary you can share with teachers.
- Treatment options including lenses, therapy, or referral when appropriate.
When to book
- Reading comprehension drops the longer your child reads.
- Your child skips lines, uses a finger to track, or complains of double vision.
